May I Please Remind You...
Please take a look at these, make sure you're familiar with them. If these are not clear enough, please post a comment and I will edit the list so we don't have misunderstandings.
I would like to reemphasize that we do not take fan art. If it is not your character or idea, it does not belong in our gallery. Unfinished works including sketches, doodles, works-in-progress, and models for later use do not belong in our gallery either. This is supposed to be where you show off your
work, not every single thing you post on dA. Repeated violations of rules will result in being removed from the group.
Attitudes
- Behavior that is not conducive to the group will result in the member not being allowed to be a part of this group. We are all responsible for ourselves and for our behavior.
ONE warning is all you will get. So in other words....If you can't play nice, you can play somewhere else.
NO FANART
- Fanart, no matter how well it is done, is a form of copyright infringement and this group does not accept it.
We define fan art as: characters, settings, or ideas created by someone else, which you are reproducing without explicit permission from the creator. If you draw your friend's OC, that's fine. If you draw an OC from an original setting (D&D yes, LotR no) role-playing game, that's fine. If you create something based on Edgar Allen Poe's "The Telltale Heart", it will be declined.
No Nudity
- Slight nudity is allowed as long as it is presented in a tasteful fashion. We do have minors so please be sure that mature deviations are marked as such. Full frontal nudity of either gender is not permitted.
No Sex
- Suggested or very visible sex will not be accepted into the group. We are about the fantasy, not any adult actions that are to be performed behind closed doors. Again, we have minors.
No Hate
- racist, overly violent and hate centered art will not be tolerated here. We are a Fantasy group not a horror/macabre group.
No WIPs
- Work in Progress may be great for another group or your journal, but we are only interested in seeing the final project. No sketches, doodles, or other unfinished pieces will be accepted.
Submit to the correct folders
- If you do not submit to the correct folders your submissions will be declined. We have a lot of work to do behind the curtains, so we do not have time to place your submission in the correct folder. When in doubt, find an admin before you submit and we can point you to the right folder.
Removing submissions
- We understand that after a certain point in time you might store your deviation or remove it from our group. But those that submit to the group and then remove it less the 24 hours later will be removed permanently from the group. We want people to see your work, but we are not here just to increase views to your image.
As admins, we do our best to tell each person why a submission is declined. By submitting your images to this group you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the terms of the group. We reserve the right to adjust rules as needed and without prior notification.
Gallery Folder Descriptions
Featured - Contest winners and the best of the best from each folder. All available admins will vote each month.
Admin Admiration - Each admin will feature their overall favorites for the month, which will get a feature in the group's blog.
Angels and Demons - All images of angels and/or demons.
Artisan Crafts - Hand-made items of any fantasy or dream-like nature.
Contest - All entries for any of DaydreamersRealm's contests, and only those submitted to DDR contests.
Critique - Please include a link (in artist comments or on submission process notice) to a deviation from here that you already critiqued. Without it your submission will not be approved. If we want this folder to work, we must all do our part.
Fantasy Characters - Characters with human-like intelligence. (Most OCs fit this category unless they are completely animal-based. No wolves or dragons.)
Fantasy Creatures - Strange fictional creatures of your own creation, or animal-based characters in a fantasy setting. (Wolves, dragons, griffins, and other fur-sonas go here.)
Myths and Legends - All images based loosely on known myths or legends. Fairy tales, ancient mythologies... if it has been made into a popular movie or cartoon and your artwork is similar, we will reject it. (Including Disney movies, "Percy Jackson", "Clash of the Titans", "Thor", etc.)
Sci-Fi - All science fiction. Aliens, cyborgs, spacefarers.
Prose - All fantasy or dream-based stories.
Poetry - All fantastical, surreal, whimsical, or dream-based poems.
Surreal, whimsical and emotional - Artwork meant to be outside the norm (surreal), with meaning (emotional) or not (whimsical).
Misc Fantasy - Any work that does not fit into any of the categories.
Group-Related - Items specifically made for the use of DaydreamersRealm as a group. This includes (but is not limited to) icons, journal skins or CSS, banners, and header images.

#Artcrossing is a group where you can exchange arts and crafts gifts all year round. You sign up, get given an address with a little description of the person which you use to make a great gift for them, then you mail it off. As soon as the recipient has safely received it, another member will be given your details to send you a gift in the mail.
